Dan + Ali [engaged]

Dan and Ali are such an amazing couple. We spent a few hours grabbing coffee and chatting and getting to know them AND THEN we went out for an engagement session. They're funny, adventurous and have such a sweet love story. They've been dating long-distance for the past three years and in September they will become one and the long-distance will end. All you need to do is spend five-minutes with them to see how much they love and respect each other. Dan made Ali laugh the entire time and we just love that. We can't wait for their wedding in September and to see these two enjoy marriage.

 

Candace + Daniel [engaged]

Evan and I had the opportunity to take some engagement photos for these two sweethearts. We drove up into the mountains and the rain and had one of the sweetest shoots with these two who are just a few weeks away from saying, "I do." The light was absolutely gorgeous and these two were such great troopers with the rain and our mini hike. Montana does not disappoint and we absolutely love how these photos turned out. Thanks for such a fun morning, Candace and Daniel! We can't wait for your wedding!

Ashley + Troy [Engaged]

Ashley and I planned out their engagement session months ago. She specifically chose May so she could have sunshine and warmer weather and this beautiful mountain town. And then the forecast called for rain. I convinced Ashley to go through with our date because I envisioned clear umbrellas and a field of wildflowers and dancing. You know, adorable. But we drove through this little mountain town (Red Lodge, for those of you who are Montanans), we found snow. A LOT OF SNOW. We came around a curve in the road and came into this winter (well, spring), wonderland of flocked trees and giant snowflakes. It was absolutely beautiful. It was not what any of us were expecting--although Evan and I practically rejoiced in the back seat and could hardly contain our excitement for this good fortune. These guys were excellent sports, though. Ashley in her flipflops and light cardigan and Troy helping his bride-to-be through the snow and slush. And at the end, these guys even braved Rock Creek to get the picture that Ashley really, truly wanted.

We're so lucky to have adventurous couples who brave the cold and the snow in the spring! to get some absolutely gorgeous shots.
