erin + ben | billings, MT wedding photographer

new favorite thing? winter weddings. sure, it was freezing cold and the moment we stepped outside to take pictures of erin and bed the wind began blowing and they were freezing, but seriously. aside from the 100-feet of snow and the freezing temperatures, everything was perfect and i loved everything about it. erin was so happy and excited to get married that she couldn't even feel the cold. her adrenaline was pumping overtime and that makes for the best kind of day.

erin has been my friend for the past year-and-a-half. we met because she came with a mutual friend to bible study at my house. it was a completely God-ordained interaction because as a handful of girls sat around drinking wine and coffee and discussing our lives and crying and praying together, we became such close friends--all of us. and now we've seen two of those girls (erin being one of them) meet their husbands and get married and let me tell you, i have loved watching a relationship blossom from the beginning when she says, "i met a cute guy, you guys!" to the text she sends when they get engaged. so, we obviously love these guys a lot and they're so wonderful together. watching erin beam as she talks about the love of her life, and watching ben become a dad to erin's daughter gracie has just proven to everyone around them that these two are meant to be. evan and i are so honored when our friends trust us with their memories and allow us to be a part of their big days. so, congratulations erin & ben! we love you guys!

2017 | a year of firsts

2016 was such a great year for our business. we feel like we connected with so many of our couples and had such fun experiences at each of our weddings. we are so blessed to get to do this together so that we have someone to talk to and someone who understands the pain in my body after running around for 10-hours straight. we shot the majority of our weddings at our familiar venues and it was awesome. it's easy to get stuck when you have a wedding every weekend for two months and the majority of those are in the same place. but we made it our goal to stop taking a right and take a left and see what else is out there. and really cool things happened like rain and new venues and clouds so we could shoot in new places where's there's no shade. and we started dreaming about what other new experiences we want to have and all the venues in montana that we want to see and fall in love with. (after every wedding evan and i have the "if i were getting married again" talk. we are obviously experts now and cringe and laugh at some of the decisions we made six and a half years ago.)

so. dear couples of 2017. let's take adventures! if you're getting married at a venue that we've never been to, we want to come with you! we're offering special pricing to our couples who bring us along to new places.

here's the rules:
venues must be outside yellowstone county. we're thinking venues like the big yellow barn. rockin tj ranch. rock creek resort. wildflower weddings. big sky. ETC ETC ETC. if you're getting married and what to bring us along, shoot us an e-mail at evanandlarissaphotography (at) gmail (dot) com and let's chat! we are still accepting yellowstone/billings area weddings and so excited for our regular venues and to work with so many incredible vendors in this area. so even if you're not planning a wedding outside of this great city, we'd still be beyond happy and so thrilled to work with you.

anne + dan | billings MT wedding photographer

Anne & Dan! Hey that rhymes! These two had the most beautiful wedding I've ever seen. Every detail was executed beautifully and I think I could have spent days photographing just the details. I love how transformed the Depot was, but I especially loved the hanging statement piece about the head table. Everyone put so much effort into this day and it was such a blast to photography Anne and Dan and their love with all of their friends from all over the world. Happy one month anniversary, you two! Congratulations!!!
